Level 1 Food Safety Awareness

The training lasts approximately 2.5 hours and concludes with a short multiple choice (tick box) test. Assistance can be provided to candidates with reading difficulties

Level 2 Food Safety in Catering

Level 2 Food Safety in Food Manufacturing

The Level 2 Food safety programme is aimed at all staff who handle food and it is recommended that staff are provided with this training shortly after employment commences. The programme covers all key elements essential to hygiene and lasts for approximately 6 hours. The programme concludes with a multiple choice (tick box) test. Assistance can be provided to candidates with reading difficulties. Successful candidates receive the Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.

Level 2 Refresher in Food Safety

This course is an ideal way for food handlers to keep their knowledge up to date. It is recommended that food handlers should receive regular food hygiene update training at intervals of up to 3 years. To enter this course trainees must have a  Level 2 Food Safety Certificate which is less than 5 years old.. The programme lasts approximately 2.5 hours and concludes with a short multiple choice (tick box) test. Assistance can be provided to candidates with reading difficulties

Level 3 Food safety for Supervisors

This programme is applicable to all food businesses and should be regarded as essential for all staff who have responsibility for overseeing operations or supervising the work of others. It covers similar elements to the basic programme but goes into more detail in areas such as contamination. It all covers supervisory management which helps supervisors to ensure that their organisation’s hygiene policies are being properly implemented. A two and a half hour structured test completes the programme and successful candidates receive the Level 3 Food Safety Certificate. In addition to a straight ‘Pass,’ exceptional candidates may be awarded a Credit Pass, which is denoted on the certificate.

Level 3 Refresher in Food safety for Supervisors

There is a requirement for supervisors to keep their knowledge up to date. This refresher training does exactly that. The programme runs over approximately 6 hours and has a short multiple choice test at the end. To enter this course trainees must have a  Level 3 Food Safety Certificate which is less than 5 years old.

Level 4 Food Safety Management in Catering

Level 4 Food Safety management in Food Manufacturing

These programme are aimed at individuals who have a key roll in the management of food hygiene. It is especially suitable for owner/managers and managers who have input into hygiene in larger food businesses. The programme provides detailed knowledge and worked examples of how to tackle some of the key issues facing managers, including: training, pest control, setting and implementing hygiene policies and monitoring standards. In addition to the taught sessions, candidates have to complete two project questions and a written examination. Successful candidates receive the Level 4 Food Hygiene Certificate. In addition to a straight ‘Pass,’ exceptional candidates may be awarded a Credit Pass, which is denoted on the certificate. The assessment is vial a written examination  which comprises of short questions (i.e. not long essays)

There is a requirement for managers to keep their knowledge up to date. This refresher training does exactly that. The programme runs over approximately 6 hours and has a short test at the end. To enter this course trainees must have a  Level 4 Food Safety Certificate which is less than 5 years old.
